Netanyahu’s Statement on Yahya Sinwar’s Death In A Video Shared In X(formerly Twitter)

“Yahya Sinwar has been killed. The brave soldiers of the Israeli Defense Forces took him down in Rafah. This is not the final chapter of the war in Gaza, but rather the beginning of the end. I want to convey a straightforward message to the people of Gaza: this conflict can come to a close as soon as Hamas decides to disarm and return our hostages.”

– Benjamin Netanyahu

“Since the beginning of this war that Sinwar started on October 7 — we’ve said: Our war is with Hamas, not the people of Gaza. We mean it,” stated IDF Spokesperson RAdm. Daniel Hagari in a post on X, addressing the elimination of Yahya Sinwar and the IDF’s operational objectives in Gaza.

The elimination of Yahya Sinwar represents a pivotal moment in the conflict, with the IDF affirming its focus on Hamas rather than the people of Gaza. The IDF’s commitment to precision highlights the complex balance between achieving military goals and addressing civilian safety in a volatile environment as well as nullifying the impact of Iranian plots on Israel.
