Metro In Dino Box Office Collection Day 6: Despite starting strong over the weekend, Metro…In Dino has struggled to maintain momentum through the weekdays. With Wednesday’s earnings hitting a new low, the film’s long-term box office performance now rests on urban turnout and second-weekend footfall.

Metro…In Dino, Anurag Basu’s musical-romantic drama, recorded its lowest single-day earnings on Wednesday, collecting just ₹2.25 crore. Despite this dip, the film has managed to cross the ₹24 crore mark in total domestic box office collection. The weekday slump suggests weakening momentum after a modestly successful opening weekend. With an estimated budget of ₹85 crore, the film now heavily relies on urban centres and the upcoming second weekend to revive its performance and ensure box office stability.

Metro In Dino Faces Sharp Drop on Day 5, Struggles to Maintain Momentum

After a decent weekend, Metro In Dino experienced a steep 65% drop in collections on Monday, earning just ₹2.5 crore compared to ₹7.25 crore on Sunday. The film’s total box office tally now stands at ₹19.25 crore, with hopes pinned on crossing the ₹20 crore mark in the coming days. While the dip was expected due to the weekday slump, the extent of the fall raises concern for the Anurag Basu directorial, especially given its reported budget of ₹85 crore.

As per Sacnilk, the film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy rate of just 15.66% on July 7, suggesting lukewarm footfall beyond major metros. Unless weekday trends reverse or word-of-mouth builds, the film could find it challenging to sustain in the long run.

Metro In Dino Cast Shines in a City-Spanning Drama of Love, Loss and Human Connections

Set across the vibrant landscapes of Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Bengaluru, the film captures the emotional pulse of urban life and evolving relationships. Presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series in association with Anurag Basu Productions, Metro In Dino is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu. With its layered storytelling and powerhouse performances, the film attempts to reimagine Anurag Basu’s earlier narrative magic for today’s audience

Metro In Dino: Personal Journeys Collide Across Four Cities in a Tapestry of Emotion

In Metro In Dino, Anurag Basu crafts a heartfelt mosaic of modern lives unfolding across Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata. The narrative interlaces the lives of Kajol and Monty, a couple struggling to navigate emotional rifts; Chumki, a young woman facing both professional abuse and a turbulent relationship, who stumbles into an unexpected connection with Parth — a passionate theatre artist and traveler.

Their paths intersect with Shruti and Aakash, Parth’s best friends, whose bond is tested by long-distance ambition and silent misunderstandings. Aakash, chasing his dream of becoming a musician, begins to doubt Shruti’s loyalty, suspecting a closeness between her and Parth. Meanwhile, Shivani — the matriarch — quietly bears the emotional weight of the family, haunted by memories of Parimal, her old college flame, and yearning for the life she once sacrificed.

Through this web of relationships, Metro In Dino reflects on urban solitude, unspoken regrets, and the fleeting moments that bring people together — or pull them apart.

Without ever overstating its message, Metro In Dino captures the quiet dissonance of city life — where stories unfold in parallel, yet rarely collide. Through layered narratives and raw performances, the film taps into a universal yearning: for understanding, second chances, and a sense of belonging.

By setting deeply personal tales against the chaotic backdrops of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Pune, Anurag Basu creates a mirror for today’s fast-moving lives — where love often lingers in silence, and healing begins with the unexpected.
